These terms govern your use of the Open Clamshell software application ("the App") and the purchase of its license keys. By purchasing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. License Agreement
Lifetime License: Unlocks all PRO features forever under a one-time purchase model (no subscriptions).
Device Limits: Each single license key can be registered on up to 3 personal Macs simultaneously. You can deactivate older machines to reuse your slot.
Usage Guidelines: Sharing, redistributing, or reverse-engineering the App's license checking engine is strictly prohibited and will result in license revocation.

To ensure a risk-free experience, we offer a fully functional 30-day free trial allowing you to test display and volume sync compatibility beforehand.
If you purchase a PRO Lifetime License, we support the following return rules:
14-Day Guarantee: If you request a refund within **14 days** of purchase, we will issue a full refund without questions.
Processing Refunds: Refund requests are handled through Lemon Squeezy (our official reseller) or by emailing us directly at openclamshell@gmail.com with your order details.
Once processed, your license key will be invalidated and PRO functionality will be locked on your devices.
3. Disclaimer of Warranty
The App control utilities rely on DDC communication standards. While we follow Apple Private Framework specifications and standard DDC protocols, some custom non-standard external monitors may not sync correctly. We recommend downloading the free trial to confirm compatibility before purchasing.
The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
4. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted to this website or updated inside the application release notes.
